Sliding elements are among the most important functional components in toolmaking and mechanical engineering when it comes to controlled, long-lasting movement. They are always used when forces need to be transmitted evenly and movements need to be guided precisely – sometimes under extreme mechanical and thermal loads. Our portfolio includes high-performance sliding elements made of bronze and copper, as well as heavy-duty variants made of steel with a sintered metal coating. This coating is applied to the substrate in a thin, even layer and forms an extremely resistant sliding surface that is ideal for applications with high cycle rates or high pressure. Most of our sliding elements work with integrated solid lubricant, which reduces friction and significantly extends maintenance intervals thanks to its self-lubricating properties.
The even distribution of the lubricating film protects contact surfaces, compensates for unevenness, and effectively prevents corrosion. The result: clean, low-wear processes without chemical reactions on the component.
